Fiestas patrias

I have never been to Chile but I have relatives and friends over there. This is a blog to Chile, por Chile, on this Fantastic Day, Fiestas Patrias. 
 
Note that I do not speak Spanish but I do like Spanish words. They are ticklingly charming. Below, I have written a poem in the well-known Spanish dialect called "Survival Spanish". 

Post scriptum: One of my very close friends from Argentina read the poem and made a few grammatical corrections to it. So, it concerns a poem written in the spirit of international solidarity for Chile.

En ole koskaan käynyt Chilessä, mutta minulla on siellä sukulaisia ja ystäviä. Siispä tässä pilke Chilelle, por Chile, tänä upeana Fiestas Patrias-päivänä.

Huomaa, että minä en osaa espanjaa, mutta sen sanat ovat minusta kutkuttavan kivoja. Alla oleva runoni on kirjoitettu espanjan tunnetulla "Espanjaa ensi hätään"-murteella. 

Post scriptum: Läheinen argentiinalainen ystäväni luki runon ja teki siihen joitakin kieliopillisia korjauksia. Kyse on näin ollen runosta, joka on kirjoitettu Chileä tukevan kansainvälisen solidaarisuuden hengessä.

 

Chilena rodeo y cueca: "Hoy saltaré!",
hoy cantaré el Te Deum Ecuménico e iré a Viña del Mar.
Ahora puedo mirar paradas paradas 
y pensar: "Inter arma caritas",
comer fondas y empanadas chilenas
en el Parque O'Higgins,
beber mucha chicha (pero menos pisco),
brindar con "Cheers, salud, kippis, skål!",
comer, sin embargo muy satisfecho,
alfajores y manjares 
y un po' más tarde declamar un poema de nuestro Pablo:

 

Oh Chile, largo pétalo
de mar y vino y nieve,
ay cuándo
ay cuándo y cuándo
ay cuándo
me encontraré contigo,
enrollarás tu cinta
de espuma blanca y negra en mi cintura,
desencadenaré mi poesía
sobre tu territorio.

Hoy aclamamos "Viva Chile!" y brindamos por Chile.

El 18 de septiembre - el Día de Independencia.
